Submitted!

I asked my final recommendation-provider this morning and added her info to the application. That was the last thing I had to do before submitting, so I'm on my way! I submitted the application and the health review, so now all I have to do is get my transcripts mailed off and hope my references send off their stuff soon. And then the wait shall begin!

    Congratulations on taking the first step towards becoming a volunteer. :) In my experience, I was contacted for an interview fairly quickly and the interview was actually really fun. You have the opportunity to ask all your questions and the person who did my interview was incredibly warm and friendly.

    The most frustrating and difficult step for me was the huge medical packet. I guess it depends on where you live and where you go, but I ended up shelling out quite a bit of money for all of the health exams I had to get done. But don't let it get you down... the adventure is worth it!

    Thanks, Kristina! I'm looking forward to the interview a lot. I'm hoping to do an in-person interview, but it may wind up being a phone interview due to finances. The medical stuff is what I'm dreading right now. Like I said, finances are tight, so I'm not sure how I'm going to swing it.
